Kevin Yang

Kevin Yang has had a diverse and extensive work experience in the semiconductor industry. Kevin started their career as a Senior Device Engineer at T-RAM Semiconductor, Inc. in 2003 and held this role until 2009. In that year, they joined GlobalFoundries as a Senior Member of Technical Staff and worked in this position until 2011 when they were promoted to Deputy Director. Kevin then advanced to Director, Product Line Management in 2015, and later became the Director, China Accounts (22FDX®) in 2017. From 2018 to 2019, they served as the Director, CMOS Business Unit, and from 2019 to 2020 as the Director, Mobile and Wireless Infrastructure SBU. Kevin continued to rise through the ranks at GlobalFoundries and became the Senior Director, Mobile and Wireless Infrastructure SBU from 2020 to 2022. Kevin then transitioned to Senior Director of Product Management in 2022 and held this position until becoming the Senior Director & Executive Chief of Staff in 2023. Currently, Kevin is the Senior Director of Product Management at GlobalFoundries.

Kevin Yang holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to that, they completed their BS in Electrical Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Kevin also attended Cusanus Gymnasium Erkelenz, although no degree or field of study information is available. Additionally, they have obtained the Zentrale Mittelstufenprüfung (ZMP) German language proficiency certificate from the Goethe-Institut.
