Derek Kelly

Derek Kelly has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering and DevOps. Derek is currently working as a DevOps Engineer at Globalization Partners since July 2021. Prior to this, Derek held the position of Lead DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer at MetLife from August 2019 to July 2021. Before that, they worked as a Senior DevOps Engineer at MetLife from March 2018 to August 2019. Derek also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Fidelity Investments from September 2014 to February 2018. Derek began their career as a Senior Development Consultant at CSG from May 2011 to August 2014. Prior to that, Derek served as a Senior Consultant at Distinct Business Consulting from January 2008 to May 2011. Derek started their professional journey as an Analyst at Logica from May 2006 to December 2007. Throughout their career, Derek has consistently taken on positions of increasing responsibility and has gained valuable experience in software engineering and DevOps.

Derek Kelly's education history begins in 2001 when they started studying at the University of Galway. Derek pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Information Technology and completed it in 2005. After that, they continued their education at the same university and obtained a Master of Business Studies (MBS) degree in E-Commerce/Electronic Commerce from 2005 to 2007.

In addition to their formal education, Derek Kelly has also obtained several certifications. In 2007, they became an Ab Initio Certified Technician. In 2010, they received the Talend Certification and became a SAS Certified Data Integration Developer for SAS 9. In 2012, they obtained the 1Z0-051 Oracle Database 11g: SQL Fundamentals I certification. Moving forward, in 2018, they acquired the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management. Lastly, in 2019, they earned two certifications, namely the Certified SAFe® 4 Scrum Master and Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certifications.
