Thomas MERCHANT has a diverse and extensive work experience history. Thomas started their career at Berlitz Japan as a Corporate Consultant/Senior Trainer, where they developed and administered business training seminars to CEOs and top executives. Thomas then joined Port Directories as the Vice President of Franchising, where they directed the implementation of marketing strategies and strengthened brand image. After that, they worked at PUBLIC PLANNING & POLICY STUDIES INC as a Market Analyst Manager, researching and analyzing foreign governments' policies and procedures for potential implementation in the Japanese sector. Thomas then joined Peugeot, where they held various roles including International Marketing & Advertising Manager, Advertising Quality Control & Global Product Strategy Manager, and Parisian Dealer Network Marketing, Sales & Communications Manager. Following that, they worked at Groupe PSA as the PEUGEOT International Communications & PR Zone Head, overseeing the brand's global communications and PR efforts. Thomas then worked at GLG (Gerson Lehrman Group) as a Council Member Consultant before joining Dataskill as the Director of Marketing and Communications for the SilverHook Project, where they utilized machine learning and AI technologies. Most recently, Thomas worked at L'Aventure Peugeot Citroën DS in a Project Manager position. Currently, they are the Director of International Brand Management at Globalization Partners.

Thomas MERCHANT has a diverse education history. In 1985, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in International Business Management from United States International University, with campuses in San Diego, USA, London, UK, and Nairobi, Kenya. Following this, they pursued a Master's Degree in Sociology with a specialization in Asian Society & Culture at The University of Tokyo from 1991 to 1992. Lastly, they completed a Master's Degree in Depth Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute from 1999 to 2002.
