Maite Barrera Xaubet

CEO Bluecap, a Globant DIvision at Globant

Maite Barrera Xaubet is the CEO of Bluecap and a Member of Globant's Executive Committee. She is the founder of Bluecap Management Consulting, a leading company in strategic consulting and advanced analytics for the financial sector that was recently acquired by Globant.

Maite is currently a member of Globant's Executive Committee and a member of the Advisory Board of Grupo Godó.

She worked at Oliver Wyman & Co in financial services in London and Madrid, leading projects for Europe and Latin America. Before that, she developed her professional career at BBVA/Argentaria (Madrid), in the Value Based Management department, reporting directly to the Management Committee of the company, and also at Alpha Corporate (Arthur Andersen Corporate Finance).

Maite holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from ESADE and an MBA from ESADE and the Anderson School of Business (UCLA). She is the first female President of ESADE Alumni, a member of the ESADE Board of Trustees, and a donor to the ESADE Foundation Scholarship Program as a promoter of her own scholarship, “Beca Futuro”.

Maite is currently the Patron of the Princess of Girona Foundation, a member of the board’s Delegate Committee, a member of the Audit Committee, and head of the Foundation’s Finance Working Group. She is also a member of the executive committee of Barcelona Global.

She received the Young Talented Executives Award from Amrop Seeliger y Conde in 2010 and is committed to society and children, which is why she collaborates with the Children’s Hospital of Sant Joan de Déu in their charity work.
