Jute Blackmon

Jute Blackmon is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research and data analysis within local government. As Senior Research Manager for the Growth & Enterprise Team at Gloucestershire County Council since April 2024, Jute leads initiatives following the transition of Local Enterprise Partnership functions to upper-tier authorities. Prior to this role, Jute served as Senior Research Manager at GFirst LEP, focusing on local economic data and analysis from March 2019 to March 2024. Jute's career at Gloucestershire County Council began in August 2004, progressing from Technical Lead to Data Analyst and later to Commissioning Officer (Data Management), where responsibilities included implementing GIS solutions and managing school census data. Jute holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Physical Geography from the University of Gloucestershire and multiple diplomas in Horticulture from Hartpury College.
