Karen Richardson is an experienced educator specializing in English Language Learners (ELL). Currently serving as an ELL Teacher at Milton Public Schools since 2021, Karen designs and implements ESL curricula, administers state testing, and tracks academic progress for ELL and FEL students. Previously, as a Project Manager at L&P Educational Services and Middle School EL Coach at Chelsea Public Schools, Karen coached teachers, developed professional development trainings, and led curriculum overhauls. Karen has also held roles at Public Schools of Brookline, where responsibilities included overseeing language proficiency assessments, and at City on a Hill Charter Public School, where Karen established a model ELL program. Karen holds a Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from Simmons University and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Hamilton College.
