Emily Abeydeera began their work experience in 2013 as a Game Artist at Plumbee, where they worked on creating new games and driving art projects from design to final delivery. Emily then worked as a Concept Artist at GSN (TV & Games) in 2016. In the same year, they joined King as a Game Artist, where they led art on new features and pitched ideas for the roadmap.
In 2020, Emily became a Senior 2D Artist at King, where they developed a skeuomorphic 2D illustration style for Crash Bandicoot: On the Run and provided style guides and documentation. Emily also worked as a Senior Concept Artist at 2UP Games, creating concept art for their projects. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Concept Artist/Illustrator at their own company, collaborating with game clients such as Dlala Studios, King, Glowmade, and Ravensburger North America Inc.
Emily's most recent position was as a Senior Concept Artist at Dlala Studios, where they worked on Illusion Island for Nintendo Switch, creating environment and prop concept art. Emily then briefly worked as a Senior Illustrator/Concept Artist at Studio Drydock in 2021. Currently, they are serving as a Senior Concept Artist at Glowmade, contributing to an unannounced project in partnership with Amazon Games Studio.
Emily Abeydeera attended the University for the Creative Arts from 2009 to 2010, where they obtained a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design with merit. From 2010 to 2013, they pursued their Bachelor of Arts (BA) with Honours in Illustration at Middlesex University.
