Z. S. has extensive work experience in the field of antibody engineering and research. They started their career as a Research Assistant at The University of Hong Kong in 2015 and later joined National Jewish Health as a Postdoctoral research associate, where they focused on studying the asthma of newborns and utilizing animal models for research purposes.
In 2018, Z. S. moved to the University of Pittsburgh, where they held multiple roles. They started as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, working on antibody engineering, phage display, library construction, and isolation of binders against various targets. They then became a Research Scientist in the School of Medicine, where they continued their work in antibody engineering and protein purification. Finally, Z. S. served as a Research Assistant Professor, specializing in antibody engineering, CAR-T/NK construct design, and antibody drug conjugates (ADCs) development. They were involved in single cell sorting and cloning as well.
Most recently, in 2022, Z. S. joined Galapagos as a Principal Scientist. The specific details of their role and responsibilities are not provided.
Z.S. obtained a Ph.D. in Antibody Engineering from The University of Hong Kong between 2011 and 2015. Currently, Z.S. is pursuing a Master of Studies in Law with a focus on Patent Law, Torts, and International Business Transaction at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law from 2021 to 2023. Furthermore, Z.S. holds additional certifications in Supervised Machine Learning: Regression and Classification obtained from Coursera in December 2022, and in the 8th The University of Hong Kong - Pasteur Virology Course from Institut Pasteur, acquired in 2012.
