Gabby Rivera

Gabby Rivera is a multifaceted professional with extensive experience in public speaking, writing, and program management. Currently serving as a public speaker at The Lavin Agency Speakers Bureau and a writer for Marvel Comics since October 2016, Gabby has also held the role of author at New Leaf Literary & Media since January 2016. As Youth Programs Manager at GLSEN since August 2015, responsibilities include enhancing leadership programs for LGBT and allied youth in K-12 education, focusing on inclusivity for marginalized groups. Gabby has contributed to Autostraddle.com as a QTPOC Content Editor and A-Camp Counselor since June 2009, creating safe spaces for discussions on queer/trans identities. Prior experience includes teaching artist for the DreamYard Project from July 2012 to August 2014, where curriculum was developed around social justice for underserved youth. Gabby began a career in film production with HBO from June 2009 to June 2010. Educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Theology from Goucher College and studies at the University of Westminster.
