As Vice-President, Wealth Planning, Mark Chan provides planning expertise to business owners, high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, and their families in the areas of tax, business succession, retirement, and estate planning. Mark works closely with professional advisors to identify priority issues, develop solutions and implement strategies to build and maintain wealth.

Prior to joining Gluskin Sheff in 2020, Mark worked as a Financial Planning Specialist at RBC Wealth Management where he prepared comprehensive financial plans for business owners, high-net-worth individuals, and their families to devise effective planning strategies in the areas of income tax, estate, succession and risk management. Prior thereto, he was a dedicated tax professional in private practice, assisting clients in the sale of their businesses, tax-efficient shareholder compensation, corporate reorganizations, and post-mortem planning. Mark has also been an instructor for the In-Depth Tax Course administered by Chartered Professional Accountants Canada.

Outside of the office, Mark and his wife enjoy traveling on the roads less traveled, having been on recent trips to Antarctica, Borneo, and the Galapagos Islands. Mark is also an endurance sports enthusiast with goal of completing an Ironman Triathlon and running all six World Marathon Majors.
