Mauro Della Penna has been working in the field of autonomy engineering since 2009. From 2009 to 2008, they were a Lead Researcher at Entropy Control, Inc. In 2008, they were a student assistant at TU Delft. From 2013 to 2016, they were a Senior Researcher - Simulation Lead at Nissan Motor Corporation, where they were part of the team to bring autonomous vehicles to market by 2020. Their role was to develop a simulation platform for testing the algorithms behind the car's brains. From 2016 to 2019, they were a Senior Staff Engineer at NIO. Since 2019, they have been an Autonomy Engineer at Glydways.
Mauro Della Penna completed a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Università degli Studi di Napoli 'Federico II' between 2002 and 2006. In 2007, they completed an internship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Aerospace Engineering. From 2006 to 2009, they obtained a Master's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering from Delft University of Technology.
