Jim X.

Fuel Cell Engineer at Amogy

Jim X has a diverse work experience in the automotive industry, with a focus on fuel cell technology. Jim began their career in 2017 as a Test Engineer CO-OP at Cummins Inc., where they worked on projects related to aftertreatment systems. Jim gained proficiency in data analysis using Matlab and provided support to internal customers.

In 2019, Jim joined Ford Motor Company as a Fuel Cell Systems Intern, where they designed and built a purge valve freeze start-up test stand for the Hydrogen Fuel Cell department. Jim also conducted data analysis and evaluated control strategies using Matlab.

The following year, they worked as a Propulsion Controls Intern at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, where they researched and evaluated control strategies to improve fuel economy. Jim also simulated a feature to eliminate vibrations and enhance driving comfort.

Jim then joined MathWorks as a Student Ambassador in 2019, where they hosted technical workshops on MATLAB at Ohio State University. Jim also produced tutorial videos and conducted data analysis and machine learning workshops.

Most recently, Jim joined Amogy in 2023 as a Fuel Cell Engineer. Additional details about this role are not available.

Jim X attended Aragon High School from 2014 to 2015. They then went on to study at The Ohio State University from 2015 to 2020, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechanical Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Jim X has also obtained several certifications. They completed the "Machine Learning" course at Stanford University in August 2018. Furthermore, they obtained certifications in "MATLAB Fundamentals" from MathWorks in April 2019, and in "Neural Networks and Deep Learning," "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter Tuning, Regularization and Optimization," and "Convolutional Neural Networks" from Coursera, with completion dates in December 2020 and January 2021.
