Sarah Moradi Fard

Antibody Engineering, Senior Scientist I at Glyphic Biotechnologies

Sarah Moradi Fard has a wealth of work experience. Sarah began their career in 2004 as a Food Quality Control Lab Technician at the Iranian Standard Institute. In 2008, they took on a volunteer role as a Medical Laboratory Technician at Alia Clinic. In 2009, they became a Medical Sales Representative at MIST International for Medical Services. During their time there, they were responsible for selling the company's products, identifying leads, conducting hands-on instrumentation workshops, and providing customer support to existing customers. In 2010, they joined the University of Calgary as a Teaching and Mentorship and Research Assistant-PhD Candidate. In 2016, they took on a volunteer role as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the National University of Science and Technology Oman. Finally, in 2017, they began working as a Senior Biochemistry Researcher and Senior Molecular Biology Scientist at the Arnie Charbonneau Cancer Institute. During their time there, they were nominated by the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology to receive a 3-year Alberta Cancer Foundation post-doctoral fellowship plus a $20K research allowance. Sarah also cloned and engineered recombinant proteins, engineered and designed epitope-tagged, biotinylated, and chemically labeled proteins, and managed, designed, and optimized molecular research projects. In 2022, they began working as an Antibody Engineering Scientist II at Glyphic Biotechnologies.

Sarah Moradi Fard has an extensive education history. Sarah obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Cellular and Molecular Biology- Microbiology from Alzahra University between 2000 and 2004. Sarah then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cellular and Molecular Biology- Cancer Biology at the University of Calgary, which they completed in 2015.
