Jon Ives

Jon Ives, P.Eng, is a Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience across various sectors. Currently employed at GN2 Engineering since November 2021, Jon focuses on oil sands tailings maintenance scoping and design projects, developing predictive maintenance plans, and ensuring no loss of primary containment for pipelines. Previously, Jon served as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at SaskPower from April 2018 to October 2021, where notable achievements included designing a stainless steel tank heat exchanger system, resulting in significant cost savings. An extensive background in mechanical design and project management spans several companies from January 1998 to March 2018, coupled with experience as a VAX Specialist at the Edmonton Journal and an Aerospace Engineering Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces. Jon holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada and a Management Development Certificate for Professional Engineers and Geoscientists from the University of Alberta.
