Sara Mesquita has a range of work experience in various roles and industries. In 2007, they had an internship at the Small and Medium Enterprise Association, where they assisted with concept and design development for architectural projects. From 2008 to 2011, they worked as an architect at Urbinvicta-Arquitectura e Design Lda. In 2008, they also worked as a graphic designer and model maker at Studio C14.
From 2012 to 2014, Sara worked as an architect at Wirth+Wirth Architekten, where they were involved in project management, concept development, site visits, surveys, and design development.
In 2014, they started working as a freelancer, taking on various architecture, design, illustration, and painting projects. Sara participated in exhibitions, collaborations, and commissions, showcasing their work in different galleries and competitions.
In 2017, Sara worked as a graphic illustrator at Nicodesign, creating hand-made illustrations for tableware and houseware products. Sara also assisted in converting Nicodesign's office space into Blue Bike Café.
Starting in 2017, they also worked as an artist assistant at Jette Hye Jin Mortensen, where they were involved in concept and design development, technical drawings, assembly, and transportation of art installations for exhibitions.
From 2019 to 2020, they worked at CopenHot as a staff manager, handling staff management, communication, scheduling, and administration tasks. Additionally, they performed other roles such as spatial management, graphic illustrations for branding, customer service, and safety responsibilities.
Currently, in 2022, Sara is working as a Data Annotator at Go Autonomous.
Sara Mesquita has a diverse education history, spanning multiple fields and institutions. Sara began their educational journey in 1991 at the Óscar da Silva Music Academy, where they studied piano, music theory, and choir until 2002. During this time, they also attended the Macedónia Pereira Art Atelier from 1996 to 2002, focusing on painting.
In 2002, Sara embarked on their architectural studies at the Universidade do Porto, where they pursued a Master of Architecture degree. Sara completed this degree in 2008 and obtained their Architecture Degree from the Faculdade de Arquitectura da Universidade do Porto in November of the same year.
Continuing their artistic endeavors, in 2015 Sara participated in an evening course on art painting at Københavns Kunstskole. The following year, they took an intensive linoleum course at the same institution, further enhancing their artistic skills.
Sara's passion for architecture led their to pursue additional education in the field. In 2006 and 2007, they studied at the Czech Technical University in Prague for their fifth year of the Architecture degree.
Most recently, in the years 2020 to 2023, Sara pursued a Master of Science degree in Spatial Designs and Society at Roskilde University.
Additionally, Sara has obtained two certification. In 2008, they received their Architecture Degree Assessment from the Danish Agency for Science and Higher Education. In 2017, they obtained the Architecture Degree from the Faculdade de Arquitectura da Universidade do Porto.
