Alex Villanueva

Alex Villanueva is a seasoned professional specializing in engineering and technology, currently serving as CEO of Eclo since April 2014, where innovative AI-powered virtual fitting solutions for footwear are developed. In addition to the role at Eclo, Villanueva is an active member of Go Paladin, contributing to the growth of startup communities focused on underrepresented groups. Previous experiences include a postdoctoral associate position at Virginia Tech, where work involved the development of biomimetic robotic jellyfish and imaging techniques, alongside roles at the National Science Foundation and internships with NASA and Orbital Sciences Corporation. Villanueva holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and a BS in Aerospace Engineering from Arizona State University.
