Jared Goralnick

Jared Goralnick is currently the SVP of Product at Go1. Prior to this, they were the VP of Product for Search & Recommendations, Data Standardization, Mobile, Messaging, & App Platform at Upwork from August 2020 to February 2022. Before that, they were at Bolster, Calm Company Fund, and Reforge.

At Upwork, Jared led five teams covering much of the Upwork ecosystem including two teams responsible for how talent and clients come together through search and recommendations as well as messaging and collaboration. The other teams oversaw Upwork's knowledge graph, mobile platform, authentication, access management, and back-office tools.

Under Jared's leadership, the R&D team increased the number of hires per client and overall freelancer earnings by >20%. Additionally, they substantially improved CSAT in two of Upwork’s top areas of feedback: messaging performance and mobile notifications. Furthermore, they built a data standardization team that reimagined our knowledge graph and delivered some of Upwork's largest product wins through work in areas like synonyms and mapping skills to roles. Lastly, they integrated Nylas & Loom in order to bring simple scheduling and async video to our messaging experience.

Jared Goralnick has a BA in Philosophy from the University of Maryland, and an Associates in Software Engineering from Framingham State University. Jared is also certified by the Scrum Alliance as a Certified Scrum Product Owner.
