The team

The EU team is a group of people from all over the world who come together to help grow our ever-expanding region in a great environment. It’s not unusual to see us enjoying a meal or drinks together in our lovely office at the heart of Paris. What drives us is the desire to have an impact and make the European region shine whilst acting as one team, and a fun one!

The role

Reporting to the GM, EU, as a player/coach, the Director of Corporate Sales, EU will be responsible for setting the strategy and execution to drive strong growth of new business revenue across Europe through the coaching and development of Corporate Account Executives and Corporate Sales Development Representatives as well as the development of their own portfolio of prospects. 

Building on the back of recent successes in the segment, as a senior sales leader in the market, the Director of Corporate Sales will have to collaborate closely with all teams across GC to impact the Corporate and Enterprise space in Europe: ensuring the top of the funnel is optimised via our partnerships and demand generation team, working hand in hand with our EU Dir of Customer Success to ensure we maximise value of corporate and enterprise merchants in-life and maintain close relationship with key stakeholder across the business, including but not limited to solution engineers, compliance, legal etc.

As an expert in SaaS sales and managing complex sales cycles, you will perfectly master Salesforce and all other tools we use (Salesloft, ZoomInfo, Slack, Zoom, Gong) whilst being a true MEDDPICC champion.

What excites you 

  • Take full commercial ownership of EU corporate and enterprise go-to-market strategy
  • Developing and strengthening a growing but complex market segment
  • Manage a team of Sales Development Reps & Account Executives responsible for the end-to-end sales cycle from prospecting to contract-signed
  • Set priorities and hold the team accountable for delivering against KPIs
  • Hire, onboard and manage talent in partnership with functional management
  • Work cross-functionally with teams and fellow managers to build, implement and streamline tools and processes to drive intended business results
  • Being a key leader with the EU team, responsible

What excites us  

  • Proven track record of growing teams and managing high-performing teams
  • Ability to manage a team of varied experience levels, roles and skill sets
  • Experience in Corporate or Enterprise sales with complex deals
  • Excellent listening and verbal communication skills: you will need to quickly understand needs or issues and give guidance to help the team move forward.
  • Impeccable communication skills in French and English. German, Spanish or other European languages are a plus
  • Develop strong relationships with peers and leaders across GoCardless to solve problems and achieve excellent results.
  • Ideally have experience within SaaS companies
  • MEDDIC or MEDDPICC-trained
