Guissu Baier serves as GoFundMe’s Chief People Officer, where she leads the global People function, including talent acquisition, business partners, total rewards, employee experience, workplace operations, and learning and development. She brings a strong blend of operational leadership, commercial insight, and strategic people expertise, shaped by her experience scaling Instacart through a major growth phase and working with early stage and high growth companies as the founder of a consulting business and talent partner at General Catalyst. She began her career as a litigator for a global labor and employment law firm and later joined Visa’s Corporate Governance team as an employment attorney.
Known for her curiosity, candor, and pragmatic approach to solving complex challenges, Guissu is deeply motivated by mission-driven work and collaborative, values-aligned teams. She lives in San Diego with her husband and two daughters, and her family supports causes including UCSD’s Shiley Eye Institute and the Foundation Fighting Blindness.
Guissu holds a B.A. in Economics and Global Studies from UCSB and J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law.
