Mariana Aguilar

Mariana Aguilar has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Mariana is currently employed at GoGuardian, starting in 2018. Mariana has held various positions within the company, including Lead Researcher, Manager of Research, Director of Research, Senior Director of Strategy & Research, and Senior Director of Education. Prior to their role at GoGuardian, Mariana worked as a Consultant at Deloitte from 2017 to 2018.

In addition to their work at GoGuardian, Mariana has also been involved in the education sector. Mariana served as a 3rd Grade Teacher at Inner City Education Foundation from 2012 to 2014, where they implemented innovative teaching techniques and developed a college-going classroom culture. Mariana also worked as a Corps Member for Teach For America during the same time period.

Mariana has experience in policy and advocacy as well. Mariana was a Policy & Advocacy Fellow at the California Charter Schools Association in 2014. Prior to that, they worked as a Board Member at Citizens of the World Los Angeles starting in 2021. Mariana also had a role as a Board Member at Citizens of the World Charter Schools from 2014 to 2015, where they successfully raised funds and improved donor confidence.

Earlier in their career, Mariana founded and served as the sole proprietor of Renmar Academic Coaches from 2007 to 2012. Mariana also gained experience as an Intern at USC Shoah Foundation - The Institute for Visual History and Education from 2011 to 2012.

Mariana Aguilar has a diverse education history. Mariana obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science with an Emphasis in Psychology from the University of Southern California. During their undergraduate studies, they also received honors in Multimedia Literacy and a minor in Digital Studies. Mariana continued their education at Loyola Marymount University, where they pursued a Master's degree in Urban Education with a focus on Digital Learning.

In 2019, Mariana enrolled in the Harvard Business School Online and earned a Certificate in Business Analytics. Additionally, in 2021, they obtained a Certificate in Financial Accounting, also from the Harvard Business School Online.

Aside from their degrees and certificates, Mariana holds several additional certifications. Mariana completed the Human Subjects Research - Social-Behavioral-Educational (SBE) Comprehensive program through the CITI Program in June 2022. In January 2021, they earned the Human Subjects Research - Social-Behavioral-Educational Basic certification from CITI Program, a Division of BRANY. In May 2013, Mariana obtained a Multiple Subjects Credential from the California Department of Education.
