Iona Seligman has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Iona started their career as a Freelance Journalist in 2013 while living in Spain. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Student Consultant for FreshSight, a social enterprise that provides pro-bono consultancy work for the third sector. In 2014, they also interned as an Institutional Relations Intern at KITE Invest, where they curated investment opportunities and maintained client relationships.
In 2015, Iona joined Deloitte as a Risk Consultant, where they provided audit supervision and financial and risk advisory services. Iona then worked at Level39 as an Ecosystem Development Coordinator, managing client relationships and overseeing the membership application process.
In 2016, Iona participated in a UX Design Immersive program at General Assembly, working on various UX design projects. Iona also worked as a UX Designer at T101 Ltd from 2017 to 2019. At Koru Kids, they served as a Product Designer from 2019 to 2021, focusing on creating a cross-platform experience and spearheading the development of a design system.
In 2021, Iona joined Third Space Learning as a Senior Product Designer, leading UX research and design for their expansion into the Secondary School market. Iona also worked on revamping the core Primary School business. Currently, they are employed at GoHenry as a Product Designer, and they will be transitioning to the role of Senior Product Designer in 2023.
Iona Seligman has a varied education history. Iona attended General Assembly from 2016 to 2017, where they studied UX Design. Prior to that, they pursued a Master's degree in European Business at ESCP Business School from 2014 to 2015. In 2014, they also completed a computer programming course at Makers. Earlier, they obtained a Combined Honours Degree in Philosophy and Politics from The University of Edinburgh from 2010 to 2014. During their time at Edinburgh, they also spent a year as an Erasmus student at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, studying Ciencias Politicas from 2012 to 2013. In their earlier education, they attended Westminster School from 2007 to 2009, where they completed their A Levels in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies, and Humanities. Additionally, they participated in a culturally immersive summer school program at East China Normal University in 2007. Iona'ssecondary education was completed at St Mary's School Ascot from 2002 to 2007, where they obtained their GCSEs. Before that, they briefly attended Sauveterre for secondary education and teaching in 2002. Iona Seligman also holds a Certificate Level ACA Candidate from ICAEW.
