Kerry Jackson

Kerry Jackson has worked in the creative industry for over 18 years. In 2019, they began working at Golden Peak Media: Creative Enthusiast Network as Creative Director, Group Art Director, and Art Director. From 2014 to 2019, they worked at Interweave/F+W Media as Senior Graphic Designer, Magazines, Graphic Designer, Magazines, and Graphic Designer, Books. In this role, they designed and produced original full-length craft books in the categories of knitting, crochet, quilting, jewelry, and beading, as well as concepting, planning, and executing in-studio and location photo shoots, and designing and producing marketing materials including cover images, print ads, and web ads. From 2008 to 2014, they worked at Interweave Press as Production Designer, where they were responsible for prepress and production for 30+ books per year, as well as developing and producing online products including eBooks, ePatterns, and interactive PDFs, and creating charts, schematics, and illustrations. In 2008, they also worked as an InDesign Contractor for Management and Engineering Services. From 2006 to 2008, they worked at ABC-CLIO as Media Editor, managing all media for an online scholarly database, researching and acquiring images to illustrate academic print and web publications, and interpreting copyright information and managing permissions to reprint images. From 2005 to 2006, they worked at Interlink Publishing as Editorial and Design Assistant, designing and laying out full-color 40-page general catalogs, producing 500+ page wildlife guides, copy editing, proofreading, and indexing titles ranging in topic from politics to ethnic cooking. From 2001 to 2005, they worked at Copley Custom Publishing as Production Editor, where they were responsible for production of custom anthology textbooks from scanning to design, typesetting and composition, and proofing, as well as designing format for approximately 15 custom anthology textbooks per year, and pasting up, scanning, typesetting, formatting, and proofreading articles for textbooks.

Kerry Jackson attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication.
