Ed Savard

Vice President Food Safety, Compliance, & Engineering at Golden State Foods

Ed Savard has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Ed started their career in the US Navy as a Lieutenant from 1987 to 1992. Ed then joined Sensient, a $1.4 billion revenue US corporation, where they served as the Vice President/Director of Engineering and later became the Operations Manager for Flavors Europe. From 1996 to 1998, Savard was the Plant Manager for Sensient, overseeing the manufacturing of ingredients for food and dairy companies. Since 2013, they have been with Golden State Foods, where they have held the position of Vice President in Food Safety, Compliance, and Engineering. In this role, Savard has led various initiatives to improve food safety, product quality, occupational safety, and energy conservation.

Ed Savard holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Ed also has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business. In addition, they have completed the Mastering Innovation & Design-Thinking program from MIT Professional Education. Ed Savard has obtained a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB) certification from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business in the year 2021.
