Mike Dunleavy Jr. begins his third season as a member of the Warriors basketball operations department, and second as assistant general manager. He joined the Warriors’ basketball operations department in 2018-19 as a pro scout after a 15-year NBA career that included four-plus seasons with the Warriors from 2002-07.

Dunleavy Jr. posted career averages of 11.2 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 27.7 minutes over 986 career regular season games with the Warriors, Indiana Pacers, Milwaukee Bucks, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers and Atlanta Hawks. His teams qualified for the postseason five times with him appearing in 32 playoff games (17 starts), averaging 8.8 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 24.0 minutes per game. With the Warriors, Dunleavy Jr. appeared in 356 games (225 starts), averaging 10.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists in 27.6 minutes per game in four-and-a-half seasons (2002-03 - 2006-07). Dunleavy Jr. was selected by Golden State with the third overall pick in the 2002 NBA Draft after a three-year career at Duke.

He ended his Blue Devils’ career with averages of 13.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.60 steals in 104 games. He was a Second Team All-American as a junior in 2001-02 and helped lead the Blue Devils to an NCAA Championship in 2000-01. Duke’s record during his three seasons was 95-13 (.880).

Dunleavy Jr. and his wife, Sarah, have four children. His father, Mike Dunleavy Sr., played 11 NBA seasons and was an NBA head coach for 17 seasons, guiding the Los Angeles Lakers, Milwaukee Bucks, Portland Trail Blazers and Los Angeles Clippers.
