Shilpa Oommen

Shilpa Oommen has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Shilpa began their career as an International Teacher and Volunteer at Casa Hoy and Maximo Nivel in 2012. Shilpa then interned at New York Life Insurance Company before joining SIFE as a Project Manager. In 2013, they worked as a Graduate Assistant at SUNY New Paltz and also served as a Volunteer English Teacher at Maximo Nivel. Shilpa then took on the role of School Manager/Campus Leader at Colupon before transitioning to a Senior Coordinator position at Auckland Council, where they focused on Community Development, Arts, and Culture. In 2015, they joined Uber, first as a Partner Support Operations staff and later as a Senior Greenlight Expert in HR & Recruitment. From 2017 to 2019, Shilpa worked at Sidekicker as a Senior Recruiter, where they were responsible for managing end-to-end recruiting processes and developing innovative strategies for hiring and retaining top talent. Currently, they are working at Olo as an Associate Director, Tech Recruiting. Shilpa 'sexpertise in the field of tech recruiting has helped drive the digital transformation of the restaurant industry at Olo.

Shilpa Oommen completed their education at various institutions. Shilpa started their academic journey in 2005 at Nanuet Senior High School. After graduating, they enrolled at SUNY New Paltz in 2009, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in International Business and Management. Shilpa continued their education at SUNY New Paltz, completing their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in 2014.
