Matt Straathof

Matt Straathof is currently a software engineer at Momento. Matt previously worked as a software engineer at Intuit from June 2018 to February 2021. While at Intuit, they led the development of a new contact control panel used by experts to connect with customers, as well as the development of the chat app used by customers. Matt also helped to migrate the company's call center technologies onto Amazon Connect. Recent technologies they have used include Golang, Javascript, AWS Lambda, CDK, and AWS Connect.

Prior to working at Intuit, Matt interned as a software engineer at Becton Dickinson from May 2017 to June 2018. There they developed Windows Forms applications for medical instruments in Visual Studio 2015 using C#. Matt also used the visitor design pattern to parse binary files created by the M50 instrument and implemented multithreading in an application that read and created CSV files. Additionally, they used TFS to create and update work items as well as versioning control software. Matt ended their internship by creating documentation on each of the M50 applications outlining their features and functionality.

Matt's first internship was as a software developer at Firstbook from June 2016 to August 2016.

Matt Straathof earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Maryland.
