Zaki Alam

Zaki Alam has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries and roles. In 2000, they started as a Senior Director of Information Technology at Nervewire, where they managed the IT team and built an internal cloud platform. Zaki then became a Senior Infrastructure Architect at Nervewire, leading the Infrastructure Architecture team and working on projects for clients like CVS Corporation. In 2004, Alam became an Executive Principal and Owner at SMART Corporation, Inc, where they worked as an independent consultant on projects for Royal Ahold and CVS Corporation, focusing on IT systems architecture and infrastructure enhancements.

From 2006 to 2018, Alam held various roles at Ahold Delhaize, including Senior Director of Enterprise Architecture / IT Strategy and Senior Director of Enterprise Architecture – Data & Infrastructure. In these roles, they aligned enterprise IT strategy with business strategy, developed IT roadmaps, published retail business capability models, and implemented data platforms in the cloud.

In 2018, Alam founded SMART Corporation, Inc and worked as a Founder / Senior Consultant. Zaki also joined the Hyperledger community as a Community Member and served as an Advisory Council Member at GLG (Gerson Lehrman Group), where they advised clients on IT-related topics.

In 2019, Alam joined Energi Core as an Information Technology Generalist and later became the Manager of Global Support. In these positions, they managed a global team and provided technical and non-technical support to customers worldwide.

Alam also worked as the CTO / Senior Executive VP at NexelT, Inc., where they established a global management consulting and professional services practice focused on blockchain and FinTech and HealthTech.

In 2021, they joined GonnaMakeIt NFT Marketplace as an Information Technology Generalist. Currently, Alam is a Senior Technology Consultant at Vistas Cloud, working in the area of technology consulting.

Throughout their career, Zaki Alam has gained expertise in various areas, including enterprise architecture, data management, infrastructure, cloud platforms, and IT strategy.

Zaki Alam's education history is as follows:

From 1972 to 1979, Zaki attended St. Joseph High School in Dhaka, Bangladesh, where they obtained a Secondary School Certificate.

From 1979 to 1981, Zaki enrolled at Dhaka College in Dhaka, Bangladesh to pursue a Higher Secondary School Certificate.

In 1982, Zaki attended the University of Dhaka, but the degree obtained and field of study are unspecified.

In 1983, Zaki briefly attended the University of Oklahoma for Electrical Engineering, but did not obtain a degree.

From 1984 to 1987, Zaki studied Electrical Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree.

Zaki has also obtained various additional certifications, including "CISA Cert Prep: 2 Information Technology Governance and Management for IS Auditors" and "Project Leadership" from LinkedIn in 2023, "Scrum: The Basics," "DevOps Foundations: Your First Project," and "Learning Kubernetes" from LinkedIn in 2020, "Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals" from Microsoft in 2020, and "Blockchain: Beyond the Basics" from LinkedIn in 2019.
