Will Rocha-Thomas is an experienced technology professional with a diverse range of roles and responsibilities.

Starting in 2008, Will began their career as a Software Developer in an industrial placement at Lehman Brothers, where they supported equity cash traders until the company went bankrupt. Will then moved on to UBS, where they worked as a Software Developer within a Scrum team, extending complex trade confirmation and settlement systems. Will also completed a rotation in production support.

In 2012, Will joined a small agency as a Full-stack Web Developer, working on projects for TalkTalk, Sony, Unilever, and News UK. Will contributed to all aspects of delivery, including full-stack development, monitoring/support, and agile coaching.

Will then transitioned to TAB (The App Business) and took on various roles, including Senior Engineer/Solution Architect, Engineering Lead, and Programme Architect. Will delivered products for clients such as Met Office, News UK, and B&Q, overseeing technical design, managing stakeholders, and coaching teams.

In 2020, Will became the Head of Engineering at Kin + Carta Europe, leading a department of approximately 100 engineers. Will was responsible for digital transformation and worked on market-leading services for NatWest Bankline Mobile and Cazoo's used car marketplace.

In 2021, Will established their own business as an Independent Consultant and Director, providing technology consultancy and interim leadership to organizations scaling their teams and technology platforms. Will'smain enterprise client was Screwfix, where they served as the Lead Architect for a large 'modernization' program supporting their explosive growth and international expansion. Will also worked with startup clients like Entia, providing audits and recommendations related to cloud architecture, hiring practices, and team structure.

Currently, Will serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Dizzie. Dizzie aims to tackle packaging waste in groceries by assisting retailers and brands in transitioning from single-use to reusable packaging.

Will Rocha-Thomas completed their education at the University of Bath, where they studied Computer Information Systems. Will pursued a degree in Computer Science and attended from 2006 to 2010. Alongside their degree, they also obtained a certification as a Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance in October 2008. However, they have not renewed this certification.
