Hrönn Eir Grétarsdóttir has over 19 years of experience in the banking and finance industry. Hrönn Eir started their career in 2002 as a Team Lead and Expert in Foreign Payments at Kaupthing Bank. In this role, they managed the payment system for foreign payments, handled the database for the system, managed release test in cooperation with the vendor and the IT department, and co-managed the SWIFT system as a security officer. From 2008 to 2018, they worked at Arion banki as Head of Cash Centre and Project Manager. In 2021, they joined Good Good as an Operations and Service Representative. Prior to this, they were a Business Unit Manager at JCC.

Hrönn Eir Grétarsdóttir is a Certified Public Accountant, having obtained this certification from Promennt in 2021. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Háskóli Íslands in 1998. From 1993 to 1998, they attended Háskóli Íslands for their degree. Before that, they attended Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) from 1998 to 2000.
