Salil Munjal, ICD.D has held a variety of roles in different industries throughout their career. In 1994, they began as a lawyer at Torys LLP. In 2000, they became the Chief Operating Officer & President of Leitch Inc., a TSX/NASDAQ listed Canadian corporation specializing in global networking technology. Salil was responsible for a $300-million P&L with responsibility for over a thousand employees in six countries. In 2010, they became the Managing General Partner at Yaletown Partners, a private independent VC ranked by Thomson Reuters as one of Canada's most active VCs. In 2011, they joined the Board of Directors at Vizimax Inc., the world leader in controlled switching devices. In 2012, they joined the Board of Directors at good natured Products Inc. In 2013, they became the Chairman of the Board at Bit Stew Systems, From GE Digital. In 2016, they became the Chair of the Advancing Innovation Roundtable at TMX Group and the Board Director at BC Innovation Council (BCIC). In 2018, they became the Chairman of the Board at ThoughtWire.

Salil Munjal, ICD.D completed their education in chronological order, beginning with St. Columba's High School in New Delhi from 1983-1985. Salil then earned a B.Sc. (High Distinction) in Chemistry from the University of Toronto. After that, they earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Queen's University. Finally, they completed the ICD-Rotman Directors Education Program at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management from 2015-2016.
