Joe Butvin has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Joe started their career in 2004 as a Program Administrator at the Ohio Department of Development, where they administered various technology programs. Joe then moved on to work as a Business Development Manager at Platform Lab, where they focused on selling and deploying VMware environments for clients. Joe had key clients such as Victoria's Secret and Coach Bags.
In 2011, Joe joined Bluemile Inc. as Director of Sales and Sales Manager, responsible for sales and marketing efforts. After Bluemile was purchased by WOW! Business, they continued in the role, selling a complex suite of data, voice, and cloud solutions.
Joe's next role was as a Business Development Manager at Sophisticated Systems, Inc., where they worked on IT partnerships with leading enterprises.
In 2016, Joe joined Alliance Data as Manager of Product and Capabilities Sales Support, supporting the selling of the company's tools and capabilities to new clients. Joe later became the Director of Business Development & Card Services at Alliance Data Card Services, establishing partnerships for new products.
From 2020 to 2021, Joe served as Head of US Enterprise Sales at Klarna, leading the enterprise sales team and driving high volume growth in the US market. This followed their role as Head of Merchant Success for the central region at Klarna.
Most recently, Joe worked at Octane as VP of Partnerships. In this role, they were responsible for bringing Octane's product set to new verticals, developing and executing strategies, leading sales initiatives, and establishing new partnerships.
In 2023, Joe is slated to join Good Sam as the Director of Product Development.
Joe Butvin attended The Ohio State University from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and English. In 2009, they also obtained a certification as a VMware Sales Professional (VSP) from VMware.
