Kanesha "KaCey" Venning has extensive experience in various leadership and programmatic roles. Starting in 2005, Venning worked at Morning Star Baptist Church as an Assistant Director, where they focused on youth development and training. Kanesha “KaCey” then transitioned to Hands On Atlanta, where they served as a Schools Program Manager and later as an AmeriCorps Team Leader, demonstrating strong leadership skills and achieving high retention rates for AmeriCorps members. In 2010, Venning joined Points of Light as a Manager, overseeing cause programs and member development. Kanesha “KaCey” also served as a Senior Manager, providing support and guidance in recognition and cause marketing. Venning then proceeded to work at DeKalb County Government as a Project Manager II, managing and coordinating various youth-serving programs and establishing partnerships with community partners and corporations. Kanesha “KaCey” also contributed to revenue generation ideas for youth programming. Venning's work experience extends to organizations such as Families First, where they served as a Community Engagement Specialist, and NAMI Georgia, where they were a Signature Programs Speaker and Program Manager. In 2014, Venning founded Built for This, a personal development program focused on faith and mental health, where they facilitated training and speaking engagements. Kanesha “KaCey” also served as the Executive Director for HEY! Helping Empower Youth, overseeing programmatic oversight and fundraising. Venning's most recent role is as CEO and Chief Blend Curator for CarVen Spice Company, which they established in 2020 as a means to care for their family and community.

Kanesha “KaCey” Venning has a strong educational background. Kanesha “KaCey” completed their Master of Divinity (MDiv) degree in Public Spaces from the Interdenominational Theological Center in 2021. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Georgia State University between 2007 and 2009. Kanesha “KaCey” started their academic journey at Morris Brown College from 1998 to 2003, where they focused on Early Childhood Education and Teaching.
