Fatemeh Mirzaei

Director of Positioning Technology at GoodMaps

Fatemeh Mirzaei has an extensive work experience spanning from 2004 to 2022. In 2004, they worked as a Jr. Software Developer and Intern at Fararayan. From 2006 to 2009, they worked as a Software Developer at Elsa-Group (Orviss) and as a Research and Teaching Assistant at EMU. In 2012, they worked as a Software Developer at Rayandish, where they developed a customized home security system using X-Bee remote sensors. In 2018, they worked as a Research Scholar at IBM. In 2019, they co-founded Wiseper. From 2016 to 2022, they worked at the University of California, Santa Cruz - Jack Baskin School of Engineering, where they were a Researcher PhD Student researching on the NSF funded RouteMe2 project, and a Science Internship Program Mentor mentoring accepted high school students to run research based projects. Currently, they are the Director of Positioning Technology and Lead Positioning Technology at GoodMaps.

Fatemeh Mirzaei has a long and impressive education history. Fatemeh began their studies in 2002, earning an Associate's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Azad University. Fatemeh continued their studies at the same institution, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering in 2006. Fatemeh then moved to Eastern Mediterranean University, where they earned an M.s. in Computer Engineering in 2011. Fatemeh furthered their education in 2014, obtaining an Introduction to Complexity certification from the Santa Fe Institute. Finally, they are currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of California, Santa Cruz, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
