Dr Dourida-Mitarachi is a physical therapist with clinical experience in the UK, Belgium and Greece. She holds postgraduate degrees in Physiotherapy (MSc) and Education (PGCert) from the University of East London, UK. She completed her PhD at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. She currently teaches at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the University of Nicosia, Cyprus and the University of East London, UK. For the past 10 years she has researched the human stress system and exercise. She is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), a Committee member of Exercise is Medicine-Hellas and an Advisory board member of Exercise is Medicine-Cyprus. She is interested in the mind-body techniques and how they affect the physiological responses.
