From 2001 to 2005, they worked as an Information Analyst at EDS Group. From 2005 to 2006, they worked as a Web Developer at Portarius. From 2006 to 2012, they worked as a Tech Manager and Tech Lead/Senior Engineer at Orbitz Worldwide. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as a Lead Software Engineer/Manager at OfficeMax. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a Tech Lead at Amazon, where they built mobile shopping apps on Android and iOS, and were the technical lead for the first TV Shopping experience on AppleTV and FireTV. Finally, from 2016 to 2022, they worked as a Software Engineering Manager - Mobile Apps and Revenue at Goodreads.com (Amazon).

Nimmy Mathew completed a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from Cochin University of Science and Technology. Following this, they earned a Master of Science in Business Information Technology from DePaul University between 2007 and 2009.
