Melissa Thornton

Melissa Thornton is an experienced professional in workforce development and family services with a comprehensive background spanning multiple organizations. Currently serving as a Workforce Development Specialist at Goodwill of Western Missouri & Eastern Kansas since November 2023, Melissa assists job seekers with training, job searches, and career guidance while providing trauma-informed care. As the Family Services Coordinator at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City since May 2004, Melissa manages a 41-bedroom facility and coordinates with hospital social workers to support families in need.
