Steve Jernigan

Steve is Regional Vice President for Florida. In this role, he is responsible for leading business development efforts and providing oversight for all of GMC’s Florida offices, in partnership with the respective office leaders. Steve has earned a reputation as a leader in the architecture industry throughout his 40+ year-career. He was elected to the AIA College of Fellows in 2011 and is a recipient of the AIA Florida Gold Medal – the highest honor awarded by AIA Florida, recognizing a Florida architect whose distinguished career has had a profound impact on the profession. In 2018, he was appointed by the Florida governor to serve on the Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design and was reappointed for a second term.
