Idan Heimlich

Idan Heimlich is a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Google, where leadership is provided for the ICE (Implicit Code Execution) initiative in Bard/Gemini since November 2015. Previous roles at Google included positions as Senior Staff Software Engineer and Staff Software Engineer, contributing to NLU assistance. Prior to Google, Idan co-founded New Age Media, focusing on algorithm design for identifying vacant spots on Android devices and developing a platform for running Windows applications on Android. Earlier experience includes working as a Researcher Programmer at Deutsche Telekom/T-Systems, developing Android apps and manipulating Android OS for enhanced capabilities, and serving as an Intelligence Officer in a classified technological unit in the Israel Defense Forces, managing technological projects and conducting extensive research under pressure. Idan holds an M.Sc. in Mathematics and Computer Science from the Weizmann Institute of Science and a B.Sc. in Computer Science from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
