Matthew R. Reed

Matthew R. Reed was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana. He attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where he received an undergraduate degree in History and received the Walter R. Craddock Endowed Scholarship. Matthew attended Louisiana State University and received Master Degrees in History and Art History and represented the graduate school as a senator in Student Government. Matthew attended Loyola Law School. During law school, he was a clerk for Workers Compensation Court District 8 in Houma and was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta law school fraternity.

Prior to joining the firm, Matthew was an associate at a Lafayette general practice law firm. There he litigated cases in both Workers Compensation and Civil Courts.

He joined Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys in 2017. With GMIA, he serves as an attorney in the pre-litigation department. Matthew enjoys volunteering his free time to local charities and community projects such as Embrace a Space on Bertrand Drive in Lafayette, Louisiana.
