Todd W. Hernandez

Todd Hernandez graduated from Zachary High School in 1984, and he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies from Northeast Louisiana University in 1989. In 1992, he obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the Southern University Law Center. Todd is a member of the Zachary High School Hall of Fame and the Southern University Law Center’s Judicial Wall of Fame.

Before joining Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys, Todd served as Judge for the 19th Judicial District Court in the Parish of East Baton Rouge. As a trial judge for 18 years, Todd presided over criminal and civil cases.

Todd has been a licensed member of the Louisiana State Bar Association since 1992, and he is a member of the Baton Rouge Bar Association. He has served as Chief Judge of the 19th JDC, and he is an alumnus of the Louisiana District Judge’s Association; American Judge’s Association; and the Louisiana and National Judicial College. He has served as a featured speaker in the areas of Attorney Professionalism and Ethics, Louisiana Criminal Law, and Trial Advocacy. Todd has also served as an Adjunct Professor of law teaching trial advocacy at the Southern University Law Center.

Todd has over twenty-five (25) years of legal experience as a practicing attorney and a judge, and he brings that experience to their team and clients at Gordon McKernan Injury Lawyers.
