Jonathan Davis

Jonathan Davis has a strong technical background in Systems Operations and has held various roles throughout their career. Jonathan started their career at Filogix Limited Partnership in 2002 as a Network & Systems Administrator, where they were responsible for the growth and operation of the IT systems. Jonathan then joined NTT DATA Services in 2007 as a Senior Consultant, where they implemented automations and efficiencies, improved security and compliance, and managed an outsourced L2 Operations team. Most recently, Jonathan worked at GoSecure as a Principal Product Technical Support. In this role, they designed and implemented technical solutions, performed installation and operation, and provided support for Linux Clusters. Jonathan also demonstrated strong skills in networking, OS, and application service needs.

Jonathan Davis began their education at Mount Allison University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from 1996 to 1998. Jonathan majored in History and minored in English during their time at the university. In 2001, Jonathan attended triOS College of Information Technology and earned a Diploma in Network Engineering in 2002.

Throughout their career, Jonathan pursued various certifications. In 2001, they obtained the CompTIA Network+ and SCO Certified Unix System Administrator (CUSA) certifications. Jonathan also became a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) in August of the same year. In 2002, they received the Certified Novell Administrator (CNA) certification.

In 2007, Jonathan attended Dalhousie University and earned a Continuing Education Certificate in PERL Programming. Continuing their pursuit of certifications, they obtained the IT Service Management (ITIL) certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice in February 2008. That same year, they also became a RedHat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) in May.

From 2008 to 2014, Jonathan enrolled in product-specific training programs at ctc Train Canada, securing additional certification. In 2018, they obtained the CompTIA Security+ certification. Furthermore, they engaged with online platforms such as CBTNuggets, PluralSight, and SkillPort, completing various product-specific training programs between 2012 and 2019.
