Dave Vasselin

Dave Vasselin is an experienced professional in the field of chemistry and technical operations, currently serving as Executive Director and Head of Process Chemistry at Gossamer Bio since September 2020. Previously, Dave held several positions at Jazz Pharmaceuticals, culminating as Director of Technical Operations, and at UCB, where responsibilities included serving as CMC Technical Lead and managing cross-functional roles in late-stage clinical development. Dave's career began after earning a PhD in Synthetic/Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Nottingham, followed by a MChem in Chemistry with Industrial Placement from the University of Bath. The extensive background includes roles in both leadership and technical capacities, emphasizing people management, project management, and the development of pharmaceutical assets.
