Christian Merkel

Christian Merkel has extensive work experience in the field of Information Technology. Christian is currently the Sr. Director Global IT at GoTo, where they lead the Corporate IT Team and has played a significant role in the company's response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Prior to their current position, they served as the Director of Information Technology Infrastructure at GoTo, where they led the IT Infrastructure Teams and also played a key role in the company's Covid-19 IT response.

Before joining GoTo, Christian worked at LogMeIn, where they held several roles including Director of IT UC, Sr. Manager of IT and Unified Communications, and Group Information Technology Manager. In these roles, they managed multiple large-scale projects and was responsible for developing and tracking operating budgets, implementing disaster recovery and business continuity plans, and maintaining appropriate backup systems.
