Janet T. Farrell

Trustee at Goucher College

Janet Farrell is a Goucher College trustee and former banking executive. Farrell was group vice president of M&T Bank's education and not-for-profit banking group from 1981 to 2021. In this role, they provided leadership for regional teams of commercial bankers who served educational and not-for-profit organizations from Richmond, VA to Boston, MA.

Farrell has also been active in economic development in the Latino community. Janet was a founding board member of the Latino Economic Development Corporation in 1992 and director of the Cultural Development Corporation from 1999 to 2005. In 2006, Farrell co-founded the Manuel Candamo Memorial Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships for Puerto Rican students. The fund has awarded 8-10 scholarships annually since its inception.

Janet T. Farrell completed their MBA in finance from Loyola University Maryland and their B.A. in Spanish from Goucher College. Janet is currently a leadership consultant with Leadership Greater Washington.
