Felix Brandes

Felix Brandes has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Felix is currently the CEO/Director of Sales, Service, Marketing, and Business Development at Goudsmit Magnetics Group, a company specializing in magnetic solutions. Prior to this, they were the Managing Director of FBR Group.

From 2015 to 2020, Felix served as the Managing Director of JENOPTIK Benelux, responsible for all aspects of the regional business, including managing key accounts, sales pipeline, bid process of large tenders, operations, product adaptations, financial administration, and business development.

Earlier in their career, Felix worked at JENOPTIK AG as the Manager of Innovation Management from 2011 to 2015. Felix was also a voluntary member of the Board of Directors at Optonet e.V., a regional association of the photonics industry. Additionally, they served as a voluntary scientific referee at AiF - Industrielle Gemeinschaftsforschung, supporting the industrial research program of the German Ministry of Economic Affairs.

From 2012 to 2015, Felix was a voluntary member of the industrial advisory board at ThIMo - Thüringer Innovationszentrum Mobilität, a regional innovation center focusing on sustainable mobility.

Prior to these roles, Felix worked at TNO as a Consultant for Economic and Innovation Policy, advising clients on future strategies in industry sectors such as optoelectronics, chemicals, and aerospace. Felix also worked as a freelance consultant at Lufthansa Revenue Services.

Felix Brandes attended Alliance Manchester Business School from 2002 to 2005, where they obtained a BA degree in International Business, Finance, and Economics. In 2004, they had a brief period of study at Jönköping University. Felix returned to Alliance Manchester Business School in 2005 for their MSc degree in Science & Technology Policy & Management, which they completed in 2006.
