Position Overview:

GovPilot is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Marketing to lead our marketing efforts. This individual will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility, generate inbound leads, and drive customer engagement. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing diverse marketing activities and will play a critical role in aligning marketing strategies with sales goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Inbound Lead Creation
    • Develop and execute strategies focused on generating inbound leads to drive pipeline growth.
    • Establish performance benchmarks and track progress toward lead generation goals.
    • Optimize content and campaigns to attract and convert prospective clients effectively.
  2. Event Management
    • Plan and execute trade shows, lunch-and-learn sessions, and other promotional events.
    • Coordinate logistics, materials, and staffing for events to maximize outreach and impact.
  3. Website Management
    • Own the front end of GovPilot’s website, ensuring it is user-friendly, visually appealing, and aligned with branding guidelines.
    • Collaborate with designers and developers to optimize website performance and functionality.
  4. Digital Marketing Strategies
    • Develop and implement social media strategies to enhance brand awareness and engagement.
    • Design and execute SEO strategies to improve website traffic and search engine rankings.
  5. Targeted Marketing Campaigns
    • Create, manage, and analyze targeted marketing campaigns using HubSpot CRM.
    • Utilize HubSpot's capabilities to segment audiences and personalize marketing efforts.
  6. Collaboration with Sales Team
    • Work closely with the sales team to develop marketing initiatives that support lead generation and sales goals.
    • Ensure alignment between marketing and sales strategies to achieve company objectives.
  7. Content Development
    • Oversee the creation of marketing materials, including blog posts, email campaigns, brochures, and case studies.
    • Maintain a consistent brand voice across all platforms and materials.
  8. Analytics and Reporting
    • Monitor marketing performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management.
    • Use data-driven insights to refine and improve marketing strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing, preferably within SaaS or B2B industries.
  • Demonstrated success in driving inbound leads and meeting lead generation goals.
  • Proficiency with HubSpot CRM and its marketing capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, and social media marketing.
  • Exceptional event management and project management skills.
  • Experience collaborating with sales teams to align marketing and sales efforts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret marketing data and metrics.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in SaaS start-up
  • Expertise with HubSpot CRM and inbound marketing strategies.
  • Experience in local government or technology markets.
  • Proven ability to drive marketing strategies from concept to execution.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a marketing team.
