Genevieve Simmons

Genevieve Simmons is an aspiring legal professional currently serving as an Articling Student at Gowling WLG since August 2024, having previously gained experience as a Summer Law Student with the firm from May 2022 to September 2023, completing both 1L and 2L summers. Prior to this, Genevieve worked as a Business Analyst in Global Operations at Scotiabank from June 2019 to July 2021, participating in the Catalyst Rotational Program across various departments. Genevieve's early career included an internship in Global Talent Acquisition at Western Digital in 2018, where responsibilities included coordinating the hiring and onboarding of international interns. Genevieve holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Toronto, expected in April 2024, and a Bachelor's Degree in Business/Commerce with Distinction from the University of Victoria, complemented by a Bachelor of Business Administration from IE Business School.
