Lau Jun Rong

Lau J. is an experienced Data Analyst currently working at Grab since May 2021, specializing in building terabyte-scale data pipelines and developing cost-saving data products, utilizing technologies such as Python, Spark, and dbt. Previous experience includes a Data Science Internship at Shopee, where an object detection module was developed for an Android application, as well as roles at CapitaLand, where contributions included implementing fuzzy matching techniques for OCR solutions and enhancing information extraction processes. Lau J. also served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Singapore Management University, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems, with additional educational exposure through a student exchange program at the National University of Singapore and a Diploma in Business Information Technology from Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
