Nicholas Goldsworthy

Nicholas Goldsworthy is a senior software engineer at Grabyo. Nicholas has over three years of experience in systems architecture and Java development. Nicholas rejoined Britehouse in July 2017 to help with the re-branding and relaunching of the company's mobile product. Nicholas was also responsible for converting legacy spring-based applications to Springboot, integrating the application with Consul service discovery, setting up development and build pipelines on Jenkins, and assisting the mobile team with the Ionic framework. From an architecture perspective, they were involved in analysis sessions around the domain, identifying key components and formulating a strategy to migrate legacy applications without business impact. Some of their key technologies include Java, Springboot, Spring Cache, EHCache, Spring Integration testing, Consul, SQL Server, Spring MVC, Jersey REST, Jira, Git, Github, Jenkins, IntelliJ, ActiveMQ, Azure, Docker, Grafana, InfluxDb, Linux, Flutter, and Angular. Some of their accomplishments include adopting and endorsing the organisations strategy to pivot the entire business on SAFE Agile methodology and driving a massive cost saving initiative to reduce cloud infrastructure bill by around 40%.

Nicholas Goldsworthy completed a Java programming course at VZAP, followed by enterprise architecture and object analysis courses at SOLMS. Nicholas then completed a course in advanced Java programming at VZAP, specializing in Java web applications. Finally, they obtained a HIGCSE from Westwood International School.
