Lothar Harings

Lothar Harings is an experienced legal professional, serving as Vorsitzender at EFA Europäisches Forum für Außenwirtschaft e.V. since June 2018 and as a Partner at Graf von Westphalen since November 1997, specializing in sanctions and embargoes, export control, customs law, international trade, antidumping, and compliance related to supply chain due diligence. From November 2011 to August 2022, Lothar held the position of Managing Director at Hamburger Zollakademie, a leading institution for executive education in customs and trade matters in Hamburg. Previously, Lothar worked as a Research Assistant at the Institute for German and European Administrative Law at Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg from March 1996 to September 1997. Lothar's educational background includes a Staatsexamen in law from Heidelberg University and studies at The University of Freiburg and Staatliches Gymnasium Konz.
